In 2003 Midclear succeeded in interfacing its applications with the S.W.I.F.T. System. As a result, almost all outgoing S.W.I.F.T. messages are generated automatically by our systems.
Also in 2003, Midclear was appointed by the Central Bank of Lebanon as the sole National Numbering Agency for securities issued in Lebanon. This will make available the ISIN numbering of securities to the financial community.
In 2004, Midclear acquired a leased-line internet connectivity in order to improve its communication services with the two ICSDs (Clearstream and Euroclear). This will greatly enhance the service it offers to its members by using the new real-time connectivity.
